About Lisa Cifrese, L.C.S.W.

Lisa Cifrese obtained her BA in Psychology from Rutgers College, and her MSW from Rutgers University Graduate school of Social Work, New Brunswick, New Jersey.  She received post graduate training in Bowenian Family Therapy, and completed the Family Training Program at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.  Lisa is a former Adjunct Faculty Member at Rutgers University School of Social Work, and at Adelphi University School of Social Work.  For more than twenty-five years, she has been providing individual, group, couples’ and family therapy on both an in-patient and out-patient basis.  She has lectured extensively on eating and mood disorders, women’s issues, and family dynamics, and has conducted workshops on stress management, body image, family communication, and related topics.  Lisa has made multiple radio and television appearances, and has published many professional articles on eating disorders and other issues.
